We are a group of people and civil society organizations driving an initiative called “Worldwide Environmental Education” with the purpose to mitigate the climate crisis by means of environmental education for sustainable development.
We thrive to influence children and youth in the cognitive and non-cognitive learnings that foster knowledge, skills, values and attitudes to confront and solve issues the planet faces today.
Through awareness actions, educational programs, impact on public policies and communication campaigns, we seek to strengthen the role that education plays in the full realization of human rights.
“I used to think that top environmental problems were biodiversity loss, ecosystem collapse and climate change. I thought that thirty years of good science could address these problems, but I was wrong. The top environmental problems are selfishness, greed and apathy, and to deal with these we need a cultural and spiritual transformation. And we scientists don’t know how to do that.”
